In case you didn’t know, starting 1st October 2019, the consumption tax in Japan has increased from 8% to 10%. However there are special cases where the tax remains at 8%(reduced tax rate).
For example, in this episode of Bandori TV, dining in will charge you 10% tax while take-out’s will only charge you 8%.
